@ghost-of-a-duke saidI'm not very artistic myself, but I do have a love for all art forms, and this love pushed me forward to inquire into the subject so that I could, impartially, assess my wife's work. My wife concentrates on still-life.
My own artistic skill/knowledge is rather limited sir.
And since you are rather limited, again I'll say that still-life paintings, also known as "nature morte" in French, are a genre of artwork that depicts inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects that might be found in a household or a studio. These paintings are known for their ability to convey the beauty and complexity of ordinary objects.
In still-life paintings, artists often use light and shadow to create depth and realism, arranging objects in a way that highlights their forms and textures. The use of color, whether through the application of paint or the depiction of light and shadow, is crucial in conveying the visual interest of the scene.
@pettytalk saidI just splodge it on.

-Removed-Actually, due to others in the club that I do not get along with under the best of times, I seldom post in the forum.
And shame on you for perpetrating more nonsense about the one previously known as RR. @fmf calls this online disinhibition, where you feel free to use libelous statements in a defamatory way towards people who probably aren't here to defend themselves.
Ohhh, I guess this is okay because you yourself merely call this 'posting divegeester-style'.
And you actually keep trying to float the crazy idea that your massive numbers of red-thumbs come from... (wait for it)... a clique of posters who have it out for you. What you don't seem to understand is that a significant portion of posters here simply disagree with your horrible posting methods.
@suzianne saidRR accused FMF of hacking into the FB site of his beach cleaning group and placing Indonesian porn on there.

That is libelous and defamatory. I suppose you could say in his defence that it was so utterly ludicrous that no one would take it seriously.
Next time I am in Liverpool I will check out if the beaches are still being cleaned.
