How long should one keep up this pies and beer regimen in order to become a chess champion? Also, can any other beverage drunk in excess be substituted for beer, and what kind of pies are best.

I think I am Nimzowitch come back from the dead. But since most of my great chess ideas are in a language I don't understand, all I got was the propensity for self-inflicted injury. I need to work on learning German...
