Guild Wars is a MMORPG. I do not know about Dragon Lords. I rejected Guild Wars because of a review where a player stated that he maxed three characters in a few weeks. In six months of playing EverQuest I was still a level ten Wizard. I gave up and started a Mage. I was new to the game and was solo most of the time. I thought power leveling was group playin ...[text shortened]... ad. There are better games then Guild Wars. Then again what is good in a game is personal thing.

This is pve. Any pvp in this may result in imprisonment, death, or a fine. You may be wanted by the law and have bounty hunters after you. You may have the dead player's friends hire a assassin to kill you. Death in Advanced Dungeons and Dragons is just that. Death means that you are D E A D.

They have perma-death? That doesn't sound like D&D. Raising the dead is always easy in D&D games.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungIt is true that a Most High Cleric can raise the dead. Until that happens a dead character is dead. There are at least three Magic User spell that are worse then death.

The quest and adventure would really depend on the skill of the DM.
And in AD&D death didn't mean death. It meant paying a paltry fee to get raised.
(If you aren't talking about pen and paper AD&D then just stop talking)

While a player can be raied from the dead a Dungeon Master can stop it from happening. A roll that the character's god will not allow it is one way to stop it. The Dungeon Master can start raising the fee for the spell till it is not so easy a thing too do. The raise the dead spell may be limited to one time a year. These are just a few ways to limit raising dead characters.

Originally posted by AThousandYoungPen and paper in the last few statements. The online game seems to be way short of what it could be. I rated the online game a 5 in my preliminary search. Some of those games are made for future advanced graphics and rated poor on the graphics. Horizons I think was set to take future graphics tech. Set that game on full ability and your computer will have some trouble.

Originally posted by AThousandYoungEve Online and Guild Wars have the highest score at 8.3 . I think I will pass on Eve Online as it is not a role play. To me role play means " Swords and Sorcery". I would play a war game like World War Two Online if I could be in the Air Force and fly a P51 D Mustang. Too bad Advanced Third Reich is not online.
I'm playing EVE Online right now. EXCELLENT game so far. Very, very good. I just wish it was fantasy instead of space ships 🙁.
