I see that one of the mobile phone operators has had a complaint against it upheld by the advertising standards authority... they have been using simulated pictures on phones of much higher quality than in real life.
I was wondering, is there anywhere on line where we can view pictures taken with these new phone/cameras? And has anyone here got or used one?

My understanding of this was to do with the video on the new 3G phones. [I haven't read anything about this in a while, but I'm pretty sure this is what you are referring to? Or maybe not.]
Anyway, the 'video phone' video quality is very poor. On the ads it was shown full screen and at a high frame rate (remember we are talking low-res postage stamp screens anyway...)

Not great, as you can see. Generally, there appears to be no focus anywhere apart from the centre of the shot (but none at all on this one!).
So, gimmicky toy, and I ridiculed the owner - it cost him a lot of money at the time, and its rubbish.
I'm sure things have improved since then, the size of them has for sure!

BTW: The house is in Welford, Berkshire – a beautiful property. Only problem is, they built the M4 about a half a mile away – and all you can hear is road traiffic…doh!
Many of my friends work at Nokia and they of course have camera phones because they get them free... I think those gadgets are nice toys but the quality of the pictures isn't very good (resolution 640x480 pixels) so if that's what you appreciate I recommend you to purchase a digital camera. However my next phone will probably be 'a camera model' because they are quite cheap nowadays and if you need to buy a phone anyway then why not...
