Modern Politics With A Southern Drawl?

Is this really what our political candidates have reduced themselves too?

I think that on this aniversary politics should have been left at home. Somehow, having a campaign bulldoze over the true reason for the anniversary seems... ignorant and self serving at best.

I look forward to the day that we, as a society, become truly blind to the color of a persons skin.
