Its congested real bad cos of the bombings in london. they need to make there way out slowly on the motorways or find a and b roads to get them out the area.

Tell them to stick to the hard shoulder. Motorways can be dangerous and one should NEVER walk in the lanes.

Was that Bowmann offering to pick them up and give them a lift home. Ahh how thoughtful.........😉

Last time i tried to walk up a hard shoulder I was whisked off by the motorway police. It was after a failed attempt to hitch hike out of Manchester. I couldn't get a lift and the only way back was to walk up the hard shoulder for two miles. When he had finished giving me his verbal, I actually think he got off on doing this, he dropped me at a place I didn't know. It looked like some sort of compound. I asked him how to get back to civilisation. He told me that I was in fact back at the service station that i initially tried hitching from. To get to it, he informed me, I had to walk up this country lane then take a right and walk about 500 yrds. I set off up this country lane. Half way up I realised that it had no pavements and there were solid hedgerows on either side. It was also near the top of a steep incline and a blind bend. If a car had been doing any sort of speed though there, I think i may well have been wiped out. Anyway, I got to the top of this hill and cut through this field that he told me about, and it took me all the way back to whee he dropped me off but on the other side of the bollards. This self righteous bastard had taken me from one perilous situation and plonked me straight back into another equally perilous position. and for what? All he had to say was go past the bollards and I'd be back in Birch service station. *Rant finished*.
