Truth be told, SJ 😳 I've just moments ago finished racking three 5.gallon batches of wine.

One is apple/ortega. One is my own garden-grown pinot noir. One is garden-grown blackberry 😉

😵 A certain amount of tasting and "tweaking" is inevitable in the racking stage. I did. I do 🙄

I must agree with you. I'm obliged to pursue this grape-driven folly to the ends of the process. 😵

In reality I work in the retail end of the wine biz. 😉 Making my own wines gives me ideas & insights

Although I have all the technical qualifications, SJ, I think that there's way too much snobbishness involved in wine appreciation 🙄 One really ought to remember that it's only rotten grape juice, after all.....
