or movies that are so good, in yer estimation, that they deserve promotion

i have never seen any of the john wick action movies starring keanu reeves
tonight i shall begin to rectify that, as i've purchased a three dvd set of the first three installments
if you wish to bemoan my foolishness about paying for a thing that some folks think is free to pirate, go ahead, i've heard those arguments, or tell me that it'll be cheaper to stream and so on and so forth, yes yes yes
you do you, i'll do me
    i'm better at it anyways

three movies i want to promote from my youth,

    "the andromeda strain", 1971, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066769/

    "altered states", 1980, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080360/

    "catch 22", 1970, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065528/

i've also never seen any of the texas chainsaw murder flicks
i never watched any of the "saw" movies
only watched the very first "scream" movie (i'm hot for neve)
    never watched the "halloween" flicks
    never the "nightmare on elm"
only watched a few minutes of the first "friday the 13th" before i squealed and ran home to mommy

    i think i'm seeing a pattern here

I've never seen a lot of movies. I've only watched the first Star Wars and none of the Harry Potter. I'm not much for fiction.

I don't even know the titles of most of the movies I've not seen.
    [edit] I mean, there's a lot, right?

The reason I’ve not seen any of the Lord of the Ring sequels is because I watched the first one and didn’t think much of it.

Tons I've never seen. The one I have heard used in jokes and comparisons by friends of mine is "Groundhog Day"

I have never watched any Star Wars films, the Matrix films, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Batman films, Marvel Comics etc. etc. films, and probably a long list of other films that were 'big'.

I'll see you and raise you on that lot. Also Die Hard and Mad Max and practically everything that was part of a "set". Movies never match what I can do with the books in my own imagination. And that assumes the books were worth reading in the first place.

I've not watched any editions of Die Hard but I did see the first Mad Max film.

Those are great films, in my opinion - especially one and three. I read Tolkien's novels decades ago, they were also very good. I have seen the films many times.
