Moving while on vacation

I am going on holiday to Bulgaria with a pal from work on Friday.
The above is all we will be doing during the day.

I plan to walk across the U.S.A. - yes, entirely on foot - from New York to Los Angeles, sleeping in motel outhouses and gas station restrooms. I estimate it will take three weeks.
