Small world!
I was just listening to some Gary Moore over on youtube.
"The Messiah will come again", and "still got the blues".
The guy knew his way around a guitar, for sure!
@Torunn saidFirst heard the slow movement as soundtrack to ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’. It is music of such exquisite tenderness, love and yearning, and I love the way it gradually and inexorably segues into the majestic final movement. Beethoven is a colossus of the classical world, one foot firmly planted in the Classical age, but leaping into the Romantic. Cannot imagine life without Beethoven or Bach by my side!

@Torunn saidThe Chinese pianists, (Lang Lang, Yuja Wang, Yunchan Lin etc) have extraordinary technique and charisma in their playing, but I sometimes yearn for the solidity of Brendel, especially in Beethoven.

Life is but a dream!
Some things can only be accomplished when you are alone. The game of life is a solitary endeavor, like a dream, and where victory or defeat is determined solely by oneself. After all, don't we dream alone? Maybe!
