I just think the kintergarten mentality shown in threads like these disgraceful. Making up some lame excuse about your rude and insensitive remarks being "a semi-valid remark about pets" just goes to show the extent to which your nick is off the mark.

and i know you should be allowed to tell everyone, but it really is at your own peril. i mean, if you're gonna tell everyone that your mum died then fine noone is going to say anything. everyone has a mum, and her dying is a really big thing. a pet, on the other hand, i really just that-a pet. it serves no greater good apart from maybe keeping you company (if that). a guide dog is something else and i would definatly critises other people for making fun of that situation. a meer pet, however, i have no stance on. i did not open the thread becausei have no stance on it, and did not make fun of it because i knew that that would be rude and insensitive. i did, however, point out that you should not be shocked about pets dying which, IMO, is a valid point.
what dies OTOH stand for?...
