It's 5-minute time controls and I'm kinda nervous. Anybody with a high rating wanna play me with these time controls on uchess to coach me?
Thx,
Angie

Angie, the little bit of advice an amature like me can give you is never defend your e pawn with f6 as an opening...

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 is the easiest way to continue. If White immediately plays d4 then you swap the e-pawn. But usually White will develop his pieces and Black should play to develop and castle short as soon as possible.
Originally posted by Faith No Moreyeah, I thought "oh, crap" the moment I did that... and also when I kept hanging my pieces... but my self-confidence definately went up after winning against Ragnorak 😀

Originally posted by arrakisThere are so many ways to go on from 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 so I didn't really know what move to recommend. 2...Nc6 is the most common, but not a move I like because I hate playing against the Spanish and the Scotch.
