it was working for a while, but now it doesn't. i can sign in, i just can't talk to people, and they can't talk to me. it also takes me ages to sign it...

keep an eye on your start up registry to spot unwanted applications like virus and spyware.

d/l AD-AWARE from download.com.Great utility for ferreting out junk that may have snuck in.Its free and I can say it works fine on XP although some apps may not work without the spyware.Be gone I say.They will eat up your connection speed and slow things down.
