Well, I reckon you're all dying to hear about my party. And I'm trying to postpone moving because I'm drunk (at 3:30 pm) because I drank alcohol to overcome my hangover ater 3.5 hours of sleep.
Anyway.
I started my party at 8 pm, though 3 friends already came earlier to help with preparations. I've never had a big party at my house before, because my mom was always scared of everybody getting drunk and throwing up all over the place and trashing the house. So, I had a garden party.
Obviously, I recieved a load of phone calls because nobody EVER finds my house on first try, I dunno why. So, people started arriving (bringing salads, presents and a cake with them) and my dad was responsible for the bbq. The party was really cool, because it wasn't one of those loud get-drunk-and-pass-out-in-a-corner-parties. We had quiet chill out music playing (radiohead, coldplay, supertramp, some avril lavigne... my sister's choice because she lent me her cd player because mine is crap.) and we had a gazebo set up and loads of candles all over the front lawn so you could see where you were going. I was surprised that even politics were discussed, but that's because it's election time and a lot of my classmates are 18. We had 2 crates of beer and a large sangria bowl, and mostly people were just sitting on the garden swing and chairs talking. Shortly before midnight, some people left to catch the last bus, other people were picked up at 1 am. Some guys from my class play in a band, and they had their first gig, and they came to the party afterwards (12:30 maybe). At 2:30 am, everybody (except my best friend who pent the night) started the 20-minute walk to the bus stop where the moonliners (night busses) go. I was very pleased to note that nobody was really far gone drunk, nobody threw up, and the only damage was that the dartboard fell of the wall and the electronics are broken now, but dartboards cost like 5 euros on ebay, so no biggie. My best friend and I cleaned up til about 3:30 am, had some more sangria and sat outside talking until we finally went to bed at 5 am... we woke up at 8:30 🙁
Anyway, I've finished cleaning now, I've had more sangria to cure my hangover, and the best part: My parents were very pleased and said I'm allowed to do parties like this again when it gets warm enough again next spring 😀
