It's pronounced peertz. Peer...then a ts sound. Confusing I know so we just say pirc.

I'd always pronounced it incorrectly too. I'd never given it much thought actually.
Upon first analysis, once aware of his Yugoslavian heritage, I would have pronounced his name like "perch". (But that's Serbian I bet.)

Anyway, the PIrc Defense seems rather fishy...so I like perch.πŸ˜‰
