if it's done well it's okay. if not, well, what could be more boring? but the same applies to any aspect of writing. in older literary it's almost always painstakinly Slow. it was the time before we got educated in multimedia you know, that stuff is just mostly too slow now. anachronistic.
moustaches are always great though! :-{) maybe I'll write a roadtrip with moustaches.....
