@divegeester saidAre you asking for our prayers?
Next week I’m narrowboating on a southern Wales canal.
Who else here has been narrowboating before?
@divegeester saidDo your best not to drown, you'd make too many people happy.

@divegeester saidYou have a beautiful week for it. 🌞 I accompanied my ex, who sadly wont walk more than a few yards, on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal last year. It was very pretty, very tranquil but initially nerve-racking as it’s very narrow and bendy with bridges every few hundred yards. It must be great fun for an able bodied couple or group who can share the load at the locks and enjoy a walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside to explore nice pubs for a lunch.

The design of the boats are pretty amazing.
@drewnogal saidThe weather, as you will be aware, is gorgeous in most of the UK this week. There are four of us plus two small dogs; it is idyllic.

We are currently moored at Crickhowell since last night and will stay here again tonight. Crickhowell is a beautiful little town and this morning we found a lovely cafe serving superb Eggs Royal and Eggs Benedict. Later, and with a pint of Welsh ale washed down, we have struggled through the heatwave up the hill past St Catwg’s Church at Llangattoc, where I popped in briefly to watch the organist tuning his err … organ, took some photos of the graveyard and then on up the hill back to the tow-path.
I am currently lazing on my bunk contemplating the scenery across the canal. Bliss.
