The medical speculation is that when she hit her head she received a concussion. While you can still function well with a concussion and may think everything is fine (as she did in this case) sometimes they develop bleeding in the brain tissue or between the brain and the skull. This bloodflow can form clots which can breakfree and cause stroke or death ...[text shortened]... lunt trauma to the head with the utmost urgency until the danger from the concussion has passed.

To be honest, I don't even know who this is. She's an actor? What films has she been in?

I have thoroughly doused it in lighter fluid and have laid it here on the floor. I am going to toss you the matches and you can have the priviledge of lighting it on fire.

Originally posted by shortcircuitI just looked at the news clip and she was not wearing a helmet.
I had not heard from any of the media reports. It is pretty unusual to wear a helmet skiing though, especially on a beginner's slope...with a ski instructor.
Very sad.
I can say from experience, they make you look funny but a helmet is so very important.
Last year I got a new snowboard and took it out for the first time, I was trying to get the feel of it and lost control, all of a sudden I was heading for an out of bounds post, tried to get down hill from it but I heard my helmet smack. If I hadn't been wearing a helmet, I would have been in a sad state. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!
What's with the celebrity worship? They're just people. No different than you or m..., well ok, no one is like me, but they are just people.
No reason to all get on our knees and scream their names or whisper secretly to each other when we see one and then go tell our our friends, "hey, i just saw that guy in that movie about that thing that happened"....
😕

How can you possibly display that lame Morrison line? You find that particulatly vlever or profound? So if we don't have shoulders we won't have arms either?
This......."Death makes angels of us all and gives us wings where once we had shoulders..." - Jim Morrison.
Jim was pointing out that people who are just regular people in life, people who if someone were to describe them while they were alive, would mostly just get a, "nice person", "decent guy" "kind of a jerk sometimes", whatever, BUT as soon as they die, then all the platitudes start flying out of everyone's mouth about how amazing a person they were and how "tragic" it is that they died.
"gives us WINGS where once we had shoulders" Think hard. Real hard.
(in other words, death makes people think of us angels rather than just the regular person we really were)
