Hmm ...
What kind of cheese? (The normal yellow ones or the smelly ones)
What kind of toast? (toasted bread or crackers)

tea? Why not a nice white wine?

Not the smelly cheeses. Any of the white or coloured. I do like Lancashire cheese, or a mature Irish cheddar. Toasted onto wholemeal bread. I don't drink alcohol any more, that's why I have a cup of tea with it.

This is a beaut of a recipe.

French bread, cut in half, lightly toasted.
Add a light coating of organic Tomato puree.
Add a generous sprinkling of chopped garlic.
Add some grated cheddar and melt the cheese.
Add halves of plum tomatoes, interspersed with pieces of parma ham.
Add thin slivers of Buffalo Mozzarella.
Lighting flavour with black pepper.
Toast some more.

Unreal snack.

Sounds good, apart from the ham.

Toast a slice of bread both sdies. Drizzle with a little olive oil. Sprinkle on salt, pepper and oregano. Rub a piece of cut garlic all over. Delicious.

Yukie says: Slice of Irish soda bread. Toast one side. Toast other side lightly. Spread marmite over. Slice of cheddar (a nice slice), knob of whole grain mustard. Melt under grill. Nice.
