Thanks sundown and usmc. Of the 14 museums that make up the Smithsonian I was hoping of visiting one or two but le travail and the 5.30pm closing time seems set to curtail those hopes.

Jacko: Is Mario Lemieux (sp?) still playing for the Penguins?Remember wasting hours playing NHL '93 I think it was on the Sega Megadrive against a buddy of mine - always Chicago against Pittsburgh: Lemieux was awesome on it.

PS Splashed out and got tickets for both the ice hockey and basketball - can't wait 😀 (No wrestling though chief).

Don't make the mistake I made in Washington, the city is split in 4 on capital hill, I was happily walking up 11th looking for the hostel and ended up in a very unsavoury district behind the train station as I was on another 11th!

You have never seen such haste from a man in 100f and carying a big rucksack. I can tell you about every crack in those pavements as I tried to avoid eye contact with any form of local!

Yup - There is a direct train line from DC to New York City (its called the Northeast Corridor run - and goes right on up to Boston).

Get off at Penn (Pennsylvania) Station in NYC and you're actually at the Garden. Lots of fun things to do, and plenty to see. Have fun.
