Need some help from the membership

As all know...well maybe not all..but alot..that Dave has been out of
work for around two months now...and that is one reason have been
spending so much time here.

But I have been everywhere and tried everything..and having a family
to support I cannot work for less than what I need to make. I do
better just sitting on unemployment then working for $8.50 an
hour...which is what most of the jobs in this area is offering...I am a
Manufacturing Engineer...and work alot harder than that.

The main reason why I am saying all of this is that the main reason i
was let go was due to me going on a radio show...they could not fire
me due to freedom of speech laws..so they found it better to lay me
off.

Right now they are helping somebody else get a job and not me...I
would be very appreciative if all could at least drop a line to this radio
show personality and say..Hey..Dave stuck out his neck for you...help
him get a job.

I know this sounds so bad...and at this moment I am very ashamed
to be asking for this..but I really need all of your guys help.

Dave,People like you have to say what you have to say.
But it annoys me that the price of "freedom" of speach is so high .
If it is any comfort to you ,in my town tonight we have had a big party
to give rascsim the big E.

I think that I didn't explain it enough..I talked great about my
company...never said anything wrong...I even told them that I was
doing it and they said ok...next thing I know I was packing up my
desk. It was all about a joke product we made for the radio show.

It was a bad deal...I have talked to lawyers and I have no case
against them due to the fact that in the state you can let someone
go..fire or lay off...for any reason.

So I sit and wait...I would really appreciate an email to them lyn...it
would only take a few minutes of your time.

Hey, boss-- e-mail me with some idea of what you'd like me to say to
the guy, and I will send him the best-written e-mail I can come up
with. All that book-learnin' I did in school comes in handy sometimes.

I will..but a simple "Help Dave get a job" from all will do a ton...he will
see that even though all we did was in fun...he owes me...I made his
show for that day a hit...and come Monday..I was looking at eating
alot of Spam rather than filet mignon.

The guy they had on today had no where near the qualifications I
do...I mean it was pretty sad...but he is married to a person
associated with the show...and was getting some great job
offers...both Beck and I were not too happy.

So really guys...just one email saying that would help a ton...if you
don't want to..you don't have to...same as when I give lessons...if I
didn't want to teach...hell i don't have to...But I love doing it...and just
saw one of my pupils pull off an amazing tactical shot on another of
my pupils...and I felt proud.

A horrific situation –those laws sound inhuman. Realistically I can't help, but I'd be inclined to go
back on that radio show and at least tell them the situation. Then I'd look at properties over the
state line.

I'm not great with e-mail. I sent one. I remember you told me it
worried you that you might lose you job for it. I thought you were
joking. I'm sorry. I also thought you quit your job to be with Becky.
I'm sure you would of for that reason alone. Just wished I had
contacts in the manufacturing industry to get you back to your earnign
potential.
