that brought up bunch of people complaining about emacs. I know it's crap already, the last thing I need is to hear more about how disgusting it is.

I'm looking for something that'll make me think I'm cruising a crystal blue sea with a spanking new catamaran, light breeze on my wavy hair and sun on my face, a 1000 miles from the closest emacs.

lulz

I haven't used it in a while - it's been almost 6 years since I was in a computer sciences lab, but I can respect Emacs.
Love it or hate it - It's a keyboard warrior's paradise...

How can anybody hate regular expressions?

They're the most powerful thing since the sliced pan.

part of my emacs hatred originates from suffering through lisp courses in the university, writing a metacircular interpreter in scheme with emacs etc... it's the post traumatic scheme syndrome.

some guys just landed their boat in Australia. it's made of plastic bottles stuck together with homemade glue. they took off from San Francisco four months ago and have been eating canned food and the occasional vegetable from the small onboard garden.

you could be ready to launch in a few weeks!

or, you could surf from your armchair with Latitude 38 magazine. it's pretty good. especially the Letters section.

you can pick it up free in West Marine shops if you live around the SF/SJ Bay Area. at least it was free several years ago.
