I don't know if that is true or not. But, russ is most likley in business to make money, and in order to do that he must provide something/service people are willing to pay for. I stopped subscribing when I found the administration to be unresponsive, and falling behind the competition in their offerings. Lately, in the last two months or so russ has been more active than I have ever seen which is great for the site, but I hope not to the point of damaging personal relationships. I would venture to guess, based on how hard it is to make money with a site like this and all the competition, that russ probably does this for more reasons than money. I think its great that the opportunity for russ or anybody else to make money is present, and I think that that motivation is what will get us (the consumers) the best product. I am holding out my re-subbing for A) Rated Blitz B) Updated Games Explorer C) Better forum Modding. I would like it very much for russ to get this site to the tops in chess/forums/community because russ is a real person and has made himself known making him very much like a local merchant to many that play here. Heck there are even meet-ups where russ makes appearances. So after all that I don't agree that "russ only cares about money."
