Thanks, John. I feel a bit guilty for not writing a profile. So here goes:-
I'm 41, from England, and have been playing chess for about 30 years.
I have an Elo rating of about 2250, but it was over 2300 for a few years.
I've played in several British Champioships and taken on most of the top British grandmasters, including Tony Miles, Michael Adams, Murray Chandler, Jon Speelman, Mark Hebden...
My most famous victim was World Champion (at the time), Gary Kasparov - ok, it was a simul game.

PS 41!!! You're having a laugh aint ya!! I thought you were about a decade younger!
When is Bennett coming back? I hope his appartment move is going ok. He might have something to say about who has the top spot! As might your namesake, Mr. Dave Baker.
Congratulations also to Paul (Knightmare_NJ) for reaching 1900 and holding the top spot for a fairly lengthy period of time. Might be quite a lot of swapping around of positions at the top of that ladder in the coming weeks.
As for the other one, there's a right pair at the top who've got it totally sewn up. There's no hope for anyone else!
Not sure why I thought you were younger...probably because of my own (silly) prejudices against anyone over 40 who I guess I would regard as old and fuddy duddyish...and seeing as though you're not I figured you must be younger!

The other referring to MAP? If trekkie keept up like today he'll wipe Andrew and I right out of MAP's two top spots. Luck is also another I have been watching. It may take them most of the year. I may surrender the Crown to either by next December 30. Probably at move 200,000 or so.

Mark, I'm 45 as well and now that I know your feelings about us geriatrics I realize that squirrel should have been in the skillet a lot sooner. One day you will lose hair. One day your hair will turn gray. One day you will wake up and your joints will creek. One day you will go get your prostate examined. Enjoy your youth, my friend, as only time separates us......and probably a lot of hot chicks.
