New Settlers Thread

I didn't even realise the forums existed until I'd been here for months, then it took more months before I got brave enough to dip my toe in the water. RHP really needs to have a mentor-type greeters' list for newcomers, as some of the other sites have. I suggested it once and Russ said it was a good idea, but nothing's ever come of it.

I used message boards back in the day (before Windows) but this was my first Windows forum. They're strange beasts.
