Very thoughtful of you Stees. I may have some whiskey in the house if he would care to try it - it's very old though. I haven't touched it for the last 20 years.

Enjoy your feast Diver. In a couple of hours I will be putting our “bird” in the oven and when cooked (not a goose), we’re off to Mairead’s eldest son and daughter-in-law’s farm to enjoy a bountiful feast and exchange gifts. We will be seeing my families early in the new year. Gets hard to arrange get togethers when there are so many different families (blended and many in laws).😲😉

It is indeed Stees but I don't mind - traditional Christmas celebration was over when my youngest grandchildren lost interest and I don't miss it. 🙂 Leonardo's - the place my daughter and I visited last night - turned out to be a Syrian restaurant and we had a good time. We will be back for New Years Eve.

Edit: Don't expect me to drive guests home, I'm usually not that sober.
