You get soaked in beer.
So does the duvet.
And mattress. (Leaving a very dodgy looking stain!)
My boyfriend was not pleased with what I had done to his bed, and I had to walk home in soggy clothes.
But that was many years ago.

saddly nothing that exciting, she spilt some bovril once and had a minor mishap with some marmite.buts dogs work licking up marmite, id never stoop to that level but its always good to have beer spillage emergency back-up plans.

I was just pleased it wasn't my bed the beer spilled on. 😏
Marmite in the bed must have looked pretty dodgy too 😲

Big Lamp Brewery used to produce a fave of mine "Old Genie". The pub I frequented was a freehouse, but favoured Theakston's ales, brewed at Masham in Yorkshire. Hand pulled "Old Peculier" was always a good pint.

It is a truth that some of the best ales are brewed in the north of England. 😀
Is that the little brewery on the side of the Keelman Row at Newburn? They have the most amazing ales - Big Lamp Premium is beautiful. 🙂

Interesting isn't it that a thread about beer = a thread dominated by Brits 😀

British Ale is a winner. There's another venerable one I used to purchase around the holidays... can't quite remember the name. Help me.

Edit: Maybe it was Samuel Smith from Yorkshire. Ale or beer? Still around?
Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is one of my all time favorites.

More of a lager man myself. I often find real ales too heavy and yeasty. When you get a good one though... ohmyGod. Don't know if anyone's had a one called Cereal Killer. Light, with a lot of citrus. I've only ever seen it in one pub. Hopefully they'll still have it next time I'm back.

If ever you are in Newcastle you should try a pint of 'Workie Ticket'. Best beer in the world.
