If you've got the wii motion plus then they're bearable.
The main problem with the wii is that, instead of making awesome games of a new genre specifically for a motion control console, the games manufacturers make console port games of other platforms or crappy platform nonsense.
The wii could be sooooo much more, but at the moment it's badly supported by a lack of decent games which cannot be enjoyed more on other consoles/pc.

I think Wii's are good for parties or other social things, and they're good for children, but if you're slightly more serious about gaming then you'll want a proper console like an xBawks, and if you're totally serious about gaming, then spend every cent you have on a gaming PC.
