No lion or lioness...

No lion or lioness-hearted genetic (the food chain) or individual spirit in an immortal

human soul (in any old jungle on earth or elsewhere) ever mattered much, without

possessing an overwhelming and yet measured ferocity toward its natural enemies,

a compassion toward the cubs and supermarket viewpoint/mentality toward its prey.

Discuss.

The thoughtless way in which many people eptiomise the dread that comes before the hour of the soul in the nighttime of the long waking, has come - all too readily - to assume those features that are, notwithstanding the mighty and the looking always toward the meek, to become in many ways a "normalilty" from which we cannot escape.

In these tired times we assume so much and hold so little dear to the very fractous natures that we believe ourselves to hold so high. Little wonder that here, in this very forum confusion abounds.

Do not our enemies, compassion and prey lie in wait in the jungle supermarket aisles of our own souls??

Orangutan... you've no idea how pleased I am that these words are yours, not

mine. On behalf of all kindred spirits, thanks for the warm hand on a cold night.

At the local Walmart of my own soul they most certainly do.

We enjoy competition. "Starrman: Last moved 46 days 5 hours and 4 minutes ago (1044)". Do you?

Chess isn't my game, big deal.

That's really okay, Starrman. What caught my attention was the lapse since a move.

Quite seriously, in what ways (vocationally/avocationally) do you enjoy competing?

Both predator and prey... along with cub, lion-hearted protector and ferocious

natural enemy of those who prefer adversarial and philistine. Same as you.
