Ah, but what of the sheep?
I'm smiling aloud. While posting, the picture of 'sheep' came to mind as a category to be accounted for within the premise.

Sheep/Shepherd seemed clumsy. Knowingly let the 'exception' remain imbedded, expecting to be called on it. Solution?

Oh, my. This hits so close to home for those of us in NE Ohio, what with the Gay Olympics landing here and all.

Knee-jerk: typical counter-intuitive nature of God's economy. Abel instead of Cain, Issac instead of Ishmael, etc., etc..

Interesting take. Dynamic fluidity, extravagance, contradictions, provocative exceptions (as viewed from our vantage) representing nothing more or less than routine six/biz as usual manifestations of the scheme. Also raises a factual mix question: How much of the fixed food chain structure and unfolding historical human drama are ultimately explained by omniscience/permissive will versus how much simply reflects an irrepressible/perfect happiness expressing its unfathomable/playful sense of humor.
