Nice.

It's criminal that you folks in Europe are granted so much time off. Us North Americans are so primitive.

What is it for you folks in the UK? 6 weeks holiday to start?

Really? Looks like I was misinformed.

22 days to start is pretty good though. I'm still at 15 after 7 years.

No, i get 22 days a year, with any unused carried over to the next year.

My holidays officially start on Friday, but i finished up last night.

Church wedding this Saturday, then off to China on Teusday. The debates forum will probably block the site from use, so you all will have a break from my keech.

Got a Raymond Weil watch today.....sweet.

Cheers mate.

I'll be in China for the National day, and for the moon festival. The national day should be fun. 60 year celebrations, with us living in a flat on Army College grounds. I'm expecting some sort of street parade at least.

Wow, 15 is awful. Mind you, since I went freelance I've probably worked 50% and been off 50%.

pffft! I get 4 weeks vacation (20 days) plus 15 sick days (accruable) of which I can convert 6 per year to personal days, plus 2 floating holidays on top of 10 paid holidays (Christmas etc...), so its like 5 1/2 weeks vacation a year. next Spring we are negotiating for a fifth week of vacation after 15 years.

In Norway we have five weeks (25 days), plus official holidays (up to 10, depending on what days some of the holidays fall on), plus either Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, and some shorter days (working hours from 8-12) before or between certain official holidays. It doesn't matter how long you have had the job, but from a certain age (60, I think) you get some extra time off (I don't remember how much).
