I feel shame for not remembering this guy name. He died at the age of 82 (I believe) and was in Caddyshack. Bug-eyed comedian, was on the Simpsons as Mr Burns' son. Ron, Rob, or Rob. I forget.

Good guy though. Memorable for his one-liners. Great comic. Shall be missed.

His name was Rodney Dangerfield, and this has already been brought up in the thread "Another great comic has left us"

Yeah, one of my all time top 10 comedies, I also liked School Daze where he went back to school to earn a degree or something

Played 'The Bat' in the oddball classic 'The Projectionist', possibly his biggest role in terms of screentime was Wally in 'Meet Wally Sparks'...also appeared in 'Natural Born Killers' of all things.

I thought his best stuff was:

Back to School
Easy Money
Caddyshack

He was too good a comedian to do anything else.
Old school comedy.

His interview with Terry Gross on Fresh Air was played today. He was very influential in getting several great comics started like Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Carey. He had an incredibly painful life and it seems like all the best comics have this in common and use comedy as part of their coping skills.

Thanks!
Interesting that he was so well known as Rodney Dangerfield even though he was in his 40's before going by that name.....
