Having reached the giddy height of 1566 (soon to drop like a stone I fear) I had a look at my position in the league table. I was amazed at the number of non-subscribers in the 1500-1600 bracket many of whom have played a substantial number of games. As I doubt if I will win a tournamentI i am considering seriously not re-subscribing and just playing invite games. Surely there shoulb be a maximum on the number of games a person can plsy before having to subscribe!

Playing only 6 games at once allows the player to concentrate more on their games, so they should perform better over time I reckon.
I'm probably wrong.
Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugI dont understand that. Your both have the same rating, if anything you would be the stronger person because you manage to keep the same rating while playing 80 games. I would say the advantage is yours because if you wanted to, you could spend more time on that game, and squash him.
I avoid games with non subs for this reason. There was me playing 80 games and an opponent of the same rating playing just 6. Gives them too much of an advantage.
Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugI like to play non subs as they generally move more quickly than subs; because they only have 6 games max at a time obviously.

edit. And btw if I could afford to I would subscribe, but I would still only play around 6 games.
