I subscribed to Firefox a few months ago and found an decreasing amount of spyware when doing scans. It has numerous features that are handy too. A built in pop up stopper for one, which allows you to choose which web sites you can block pop ups from, and leave some open where they are needed.

FF can also alert the user of dodgy sites, as he browses!

I did realize.

But most users of this site would probably not. And it is for their benefit I challenged your misleading statement.

I shall add at this point that in order to use the Firefox browser, one does NOT need to pay a fee nor enter into any sort of contract.

FF is free. In the fullest sense.

FF can restore closed tabs. It can also restore previous sessions - even after a crash (Windows users)!

How? In Opera, I used to start from where I had left. I haven't found that option in Firefox.
