Today famed Wrecking Crew bassist Carol Kaye turns 88. Carol played bass on over 10,000 songs, including Mission Impossible Theme and Sonny and Cher's The Beat Goes On.
If you've never heard of The Wrecking Crew, check them out. They were a group of studio musicians who played a great deal of music attributed to a famous band. Example Herb Alburt and the Tijuana Brass. Much of there earlier recordings were done by them. Often times WC members taught band members how to play their songs.
