Another round.
I sit here at work again tonight, only this time I have an outside influence as to my thoughts. Hurricane Wilma is in town to cause some serious problems before leaving to head north.
Will I lose power? how much damage can I expect from her fury here? Should I be more thankful that it isn't a cat 5 and not heading straight for my part of the state, or more sorry for those that it did effect?
Will she take my pillows from me?
Well, we here in the Tampa-Bay part of Florida have successfully dodged yet another of mother nature's furious storms, and our now geting our first cold front in the area.
For those who are not aware of this phenomena, Cold fronts are almost never associated with a hurricane, as hurricanes need warm wet weather and most cold front are dry and cool on their northern sides. At least in this part of the world anyway. The winds have been blowing between 30 and 45 mph here(for our folks who use the metric system, sorry I don't have the conversion) but there has been no real loss of power or major damage here. I can't say the same thing for South Florida though.
I wonder how many people that decided to stay in the keys, where the sea level was 12 to 15 feet above normal and the hghest point on any of our keys is 25 feet, are now regretting staying put?
