There hasn't really been all that many squirrel related posts in the
forums recently. But don't worry folks, rest easy, here's one.

A recent game with the chivalrous gentleman that is Johan (aka Slow,
aka Sl64w) prompted the question (his, not mine) of whether there
were any squirrel references in the works of Shakespeare.

I thought but of course...how could there not be? And after much
reading (ahem) found the following. So I guess even the Bard himself
thought they were inspiring.

She is the fairies' midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an agate-stone...
Her chariot is an empty hazel-nut,
Made by the joiner squirrel...
And in this state she gallops night by night
Through lovers' brains, and then they dream of love...
- "Romeo and Juliet"

I thank you. My day is complete.

Here Mark, let me make your day complete with a squirrel poem.

"How I love Mr. Squirrelly"
By: Unknown female squirrel

Oh Mr. Squirrelly, how I love you.
Your the greatest squirrel in the world, it's true.
Every time I hear that chittering voice,
I know you are the rodent of my choice.

Will I ever have thee, Mr. Squirrelly?
I'd bring you acorns in bed real early.
I will fluff your tail and deliver your mail,
If your ever in jail, I'll post your bail.
Believe in me Mr. Squirrelly I will never fail.

and another one:

"I'm a gangsta squirrel"
By: Master S, and Snoop Squirrely Squirrel

I'm a gangsta squirrel,
got me a gun.
I'm a gangsta squirrel,
always on da run.
I raid tha birdfeeder every night,
I get away with it cause I'm tight.
All the female squirrels wanna mate with me,
cause I got the most children in this oak tree.
I'm smokin' acorns every day,
I'm sellin' acorns, cause I gotta get paid.
I'm rollin' round town in my squirrely benz,
I'm rollin with my squirrely friends.

Got to thinking about Julia and her baring her claws and being out for
revenge and remembered this quote from the Bard: "Is this a dagger
which I see before me, with its handle toward my hand. Come let me
clutch thee. Is it not thou with fatal vision?" Kirk

Kirk.
I have a quote from the bard, and for a bonus my spin.:

There are more things in heaven and earth,Horatio.

Lyn's spin:

There are more things in heaven and earth than anyplace else.
