You two sound like a couple old codgers who used to walk 20 miles in
the snow to school. Yes, dem good ole days when we were big fish in
a small pond. We are now minnows in the ocean. Thank God for the
MAP list. When we get old it will go something like this: "Come 'ear,
young fellars and lemme tell you about dat time when I had run up
50,000 moves and dem pissants on dat udder list couldn't touch me.
Hell no, Sintubin and Schliemann couldn't break 10,000 moves if they
tried. Yes siree, those were the days." Kirk
Kirk,
Andrew and I are old timersat Red Hot Pawn. Bessyboos is the
first Pawn Star, Rhymester the second, I the 12th. I took over MAP at
18,000 moves. Map goes for more than 44,000 now. Yep sirree, them
were the good old days at Red Hot Pawn.

And lemme tell you an udder damn thing. Yea, back in my time the
forums were like the Klan and Black Panthers havin' a convention in
the same hotel. You got all that peace, love, and harmony goin' on
now. See back in my time you might get killed playin' chess.
Nowadays you all got these sweet thangs like Lioness and Misslead
seducing you all in to losing and makin' you feel good about it. Yea,
back in the ole days it was war...war I tell ya.
Yes, I am capable of being seduced, but in reality I'm ...well, not the
brightest bulb on the chess chandlier. I'm playing this game with
Fernando and he's giving me some feedback along the way (which I
asked for). He's pretty blunt. "That was the wrong move." That was
incorrect." Of course now that he has cleaned my clock he is telling
me I am making all the right moves. It's pretty funny, but I
appreciate his indulging of my incompetence. Kirk
I recently played a game vs Fernando and we had a running
commentary about my moves. I really appreciated his feedback.
There was a critical junction where I made a less then perfect move -
which you must not do against the better players - and paid for it
several moves later. That is what makes this site the best - the
people.
