Congrats, Gil! When I went to check the ratings table, I realized that
the guy one spot behind me in the ratings is someone I am playing
against right now-- and I lost my last game to him yesterday. As they
used to say on Wide World of Sports, "the human drama of athletic
competition." (Although in this case, the only "athletic" aspect is back
strain, eye strain, and the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome...
BTW, what happened to xenophobe? He was #1 for a while, and now
he hasn't made a move in ages. Just curious.

Long story...xeno has been pretty much on top since I have been
here...it seems he has left the building ...so to speak.
No big loss..he was very rude to most people here...Paul deserves
being #1...anybody that can take me behind the woodshed as he has
done definetly is great...and the fact is is that he is one of the nicest
people here.

Once I had been here for a little while, I decided to challenge xeno,
just to see how I would do aganst the top dog. He never
acknowledged the challenge, nor did he delete the game, so perhaps
my challenge came after his departure. My goal is to break into the
top 100!

Wow, weird that the stuff arrived the same day, the magazines were
mailed several days after the story. I'll e-mail, but by all means give
Beck my e-mail address so we can talk about the story. Lord knows,
there are few things in life I like more than talking about my own
writing😉
