Ok, lost my first three games that I have played. I decided I needed
help so I bought my first two chess books! I bought "Winning Chess"
and "Attacking Chess." Winning Chess isn't really a book. It's only
about 50 pages and covers the super basics. I want to improve my
game and I hope these two get me started. Can anyone offer
suggestions on reading material? What did you use to help you get
better at Chess?

Thanks!

I always recommend the "Winning" series by Seirawan..."Play Winning
Chess"..."Winning Chess Tactics"...and "Winning Chess Strategies"

I started with "Pandolfini's Chess Complete", by Bruce Pandolfini. He
has 16 books out that I know of, published by Fireside Chess Library.
Next was "Weapons of Chess", and so on... His books are very
instructive, without the typical charts and endless sequences of what
if's that the masters use for study. You have to learn to crawl before
you can walk. Good luck, and above all else, HAVE FUN. Paul.
