@A-Unique-Nickname saidI agree on art and fun and cultural events - I am more skeptical to competition. It doesn't always bring out the best in people.
Yes. We need art and fun and sports and cultural events more than anything.
@Great-Big-Stees saidThere are enough risks to human health that the city has banned swimming in the Seine for more than 100 years.
Would you swim in the Seine?🤔🤮

@Great-Big-Stees said🙂 I thought that was pretty clever
A couple of Canada’s woman’s soccer team “coaches” have been sent home for “spying on/droning” the New Zealand’s team practice. TSK, TSK.😲 The coach will sit out/not be on the sidelines the first match (today).👍
PS: I thought the opening ceremony was fab. best ever, maybe?
@Earl-of-Trumps saidIt felt very dramatic and artistic, I'm sure it was beautiful too, I didn't see all of it. As always I am disturbed when so much money is spent on such events that could be useful elsewhere. I'm a real spoilsport. 🙂

@happy-chappy saidSaw quite a few reviews, obviously from Christians, saying it has turned into a Satanic event. Personally I have lost interest in that. The only thing I watch is some of the athletic events. Events that include abusing animals is not for me. Animals are for eating .. 😀
I'm thinking that they may not reach a happy ending.
@Torunn saidSometimes I wonder the same thing about spending money, but then if you check on say, giving money to the poor, and Google charitable donations to the poor and read where this money ends up, you would change your mind and say let them spend it on the Olympics. A very high % of donations to poor countries end up in the bank accounts of the politicians.

@Earl-of-Trumps saidI see now that the head coach has also been sent home. Now there is a pall cast on the team. This is very uncanadian.😲

@happy-chappy saidIm not here to make friends. If you are then you need to get some help.

I like to care for them.
I don't like you thus far.
You seem to be.a bit to hard tempered
I dont like animal sports. Its pointless.
I dont like zoos with caged animals either.
I eat animals. Apparently you dont, and thats fine.
I wont hate you for that.
@happy-chappy saidI have killed animals to eat yes. But unlike many I do not kill for fun. God put animals there for man to use, for work or food, and mans responsibility is to look after these animals. The problem is the wastage or killing for fun neither of which I support. Eg, the Chinese cut out the fin of the shark and dump the rest. This is gross wastage. We eat the whole shark in these islands. Its good stuff. Nothing is wrong with compassion but it is misdirected sometimes like when PETA and other interested groups try to tell people to stop eating meat, or that animal rearing is destroying the planet. Its nonsense.
@Rajk999
Just a question.
Have you slaughtered animals for consumption or do you leave it to others .
I've cut the throat of many sheep and put a bullet in a few cows myself but I got a shot of empathy when a moment of compassion made me realise they have loved ones as well.
Like Palestinians do.
Palestinians kill Jews, and deserve to be killed by Jews. Its the natural order of things. They know that their charter and their leaders want to kill Jew and they are in full support. The consequences of their actions is what they failed to take into consideration. They have nobody to blame but themselves.
@Rajk999 saidThere are poor people in our own countries too and purposes where we don't have to send money, just make sure that hospitals, schools etc etc get what they need to function as they should. Which is not the case today.
