@Suzianne saidThey’ve started a Sleep Over Club. Dogs that have never had a break from the stress of the centre can spend a relaxing night or two in the right home. A controversial idea but one which allows a short term try at rehoming a dog. My dog had been there 530 days, including 4 months of Covid lockdown so I wanted to give a her a chance. She has nipped us, used to need muzzling to groom and still growls if disturbed in her bed but she’s turned into a fabulous, loyal pet.
Indeed, sounds like a good group.
@Drewnogal saidWhat a fantastic idea, allows people to see if fostering or adoption is a good fit for them.

Here I have 3 'adoptees'. One is 10 yr old deaf female 'Feisty'. One is 2 yr old blind in one eye male ''General'. The third is a 2 yr old female 'Iza" who is just certified 'nutz'. Outside by the 8-apartment cat shelter are some 20 strays people have just tossed out including a 3-legged female which is an amputee done by a Vet. They all live outside, are fed twice a day. Any others that show up are free to come and go as they please. I have NEVER had any mice or other varmints on my property!
