Some years later English musician Roger Waters wrote a song about it (Brain Damage).

Far side. Not dark side.

The main difference is that The Far Side is a lot funnier

Today, 9th October 1972, my friend's big sister came home with David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars which she'd bought in Cloud 9 in St. Albans High Street. It'd been out for 115 days. Strange she waited so long given how good Hunky Dory had been.
