The Channel Islands were liberated by the British after five years of German occupation.
Some of you may be aware of the hotel in Liberation Square, St Helier called The Pomme d’Or. which has an interesting visual history of this day in 1945. I’ve stayed there many times on business and always enjoyed the hospitality and history of the place.
