One major cause...
One major cause of human misery is the arrogance of unrealistic expectation. Many who are not treated the way they would like to be
treated or loved the way they want to be loved become frustrated, angry and bitter. They compound their plight trying to change other
people by nagging and whittling them down. They develop self pity and revenge motivations. Simple reality that you can only change
yourself never quite seems to dawn on their sadly fragmented psyches. Far better to think rationally in terms of sanity without illusion.

Originally posted by Daemon SinI suppose it has become traditional to expect marriage to become a manifestation of human misery after the "honeymoon" is over, and therefor many people set out to fulfill that expectation because we certainly become what we think about. On the other hand, some of us recognise that marriage is the melding of two compatible souls who both realise that they will run far better in double harness, and all each of them wants to do is enhance the life of the other soul. Thus we arrive at the sensibility of the oft quoted proclamation "What God has joined together, let no man put asunder" The separation of two such souls will indeed be a major cause of human misery.
Or 'marriage' as it's more commonly called.

People change when they want to change and not a moment before.

I agree with your post, but this is a VERY bad analogy.
It is in no sense whatsoever a derogatory description, but rather, a proclamation of high praise.
Your comment is seriously appreciated and I thank you for sharing it.
