Can we give players the option of "upgrading" to a higher class if they
want. The reason this comes to mind is that a couple of times I have
been at 1100 because I left the site for a while. If my rating were
there currently, I still would want to play in the 1300 or 1400 class.
There are other more exaggerated examples of the same
thing...currently Dustinrogers is at 11 something yet his profile shows
he's much better than that.

There also may be some people new to the site who haven't had
opportunity to get their rating to where it should be.

This wouldn't work in the reverse for obvious reasons, but can we
opt "Up"

Maybe the current rating of Dustnrogers doesn't correspond with his
real level but sure is that his profile is or a joke or far to optimistic. I
played him and won easaly and my ELO-rating surely is beneath 2000.

I've seen this implemented before at correspondence sites that
support class events. Opt up is given to those who win a class event.
In other words, if you won this KO for your class, you would be given
the opportunity to play up one class in the next event. Just random
ideas...

Perfectly put and correct...we go by ratings this time...if you win your
section...then you have the right to play up.

Amazing! I've typed out virtually exactly the same suggestion and
even given dustinrogers as an example - great minds think alike eh?
