Some people prefer to think their moves through thoroughly. Get over it, slappy.

I understand that, but a whole day?? Surely that must be borderline dementia, moreso when you consider my point in the context of the first few, basic opening moves of a game?

Then their dementia has clearly overwhelmed their perception, don't you think? Surely, anyone with basic common sense would only participate in a manageable number of games to allow for reasonable response and commitment to each game?

Once a day is a reasonable commitment to a correspondance chess game. Especially if the time controls allow for much less frequent moves.

If you don't like that then go play blitz.

How can anybody possibly be too busy for only 'a few minutes to spare for chess each day', when that involves powering up a pc, accessing the internet and logging into this website; surley if your too busy, then technically it wouldn't be possible to perform the necessary procedures to play chess here in the first place?

its manageable. They only need to spend a few days to move once in each game.
