Maybe I will send the idea over to Site Ideas.

But is'nt that exactly what we are doing, I know why dont we get them to provide some online chess boards and we could play the odd game between drivel.

Why stop there? Why not continue that line of reasoning until we achieve total anarchy?

Where would you draw the line?

Sorry. What I meant was, and now back to the issue. Looking for meaningful responses.

edit: meant to replace my melt-down. I hate getting pissed off. Bothers me. I'd rather be calm and collected. Easier to take dead aim that way.

But that is my point. We should advocate one-world govt because of what you just said.

Absolutes are dangerous to either extreme. The only reasonable debate is in where to strike the balance.

What are you saying? Human civilization must not ever get on the same page because that would violate the idea of the middle-way?

...and your comment is really really nice, albieit a wee bit patronising? Yup the GF is just for you isn't it? Have it all to ye self. Blah.

Oh and 'Mercurial'? Who calls you that other than yourself? No one, I trust.

Well not patronizing, but yes probably needlessly picking a fight. No offense intended I was just joining the game. Obviously the GF is not for me. Honestly - I don't get it. But that is pretty obvious by this point isn't it.

An old girlfriend called me mecurial and you are right - I liked it.

The whole Human race on the same page, sounds like a recipe for stagnation on so many levels.

Conflict is essential for growth and change, you will be advocating inter generational harmony next.

Good point. We have no chance against the zombie apocalypse or the alien invasion unless we like to fight. But why is our whole world weaker than the parts?

Options:

A) Decentralized extreme- anarchy.
B) Centralized extreme- global monarch
C) Anything in between

If you prefer option A or B, then we will have to agree to disagree. If you prefer option C, then we will have to agree to disagree as to where to draw the line.

It's like a glass of good Scotch. Not enough ice and the Scotch is too warm. Too much ice and the Scotch is watered down. So how much ice is just right? I'm going to go do some research...
