Only Four Protocols
In chess games, in relationships and in the conduct of our daily lives there are are only four meaningful/permanent protocols. These almost
overly simplistic categories encompass all of our complex motivations and net decisions, and define all of our words and actions and deeds:
(1) Doing the wrong thing in the wrong way. (2) Doing the wrong thing in the right way. (3) Doing the right thing in the wrong way. (4) Doing
the right thing in the right way. On a personal note, I wish to own up to an egregious example of category three. Level of my affection and
concern for Great Big Stees and his family's ultimate best interest and welfare in no way justifies the momentary lapse of judgement reflected
in my 'Lame Duck' thread post late last night. No, I have no business now or ever to presume to behave in an aggressive way that is coercive
of his volition and violates the primacy of his free will. Screwed up, GBS. My apology. A fair hearing is all I ask. The rest is strictly up to you.

If you want to pussy foot around in judging yourself, then so be it. Not everybody else will be so kindly subjective.
You also lose some height in your self-erected pedastal from which you continually preach and judge others.

As to your concluding comment, there's really not a whole lot to say. Anything I am or ever will be is courtesy of God's grace. Feel free to judge.

Most real life actions could be characterised as doing an unclear thing in an unclear way, or one of the other infinite number of combinations. Chess is a simplification compared to real life, and as such has a few more 'clear' options.

Originally posted by Mephisto2Good point, Meph. However when we parse, sift or distill the 'unclear' words, actions or deeds down they fit exquisitely within the four protocols.
