Hey! How come nobody told me OpenOffice had extensions???? Of course, had I updated sooner I would have found out for myself, but that's a moot point. 😠

OpenOffice...that's like a free version of Microsoft Office, right? We have the latest version of Microsoft Office because my wife gets it for free through work, but otherwise, I'd probably go with OpenOffice.

Is it any good?

I like it except that if I have a page open and then go on the internet or do something else without closing the page, it tends to freeze up. I find that a tad annoying. More than a tad. But maybe with the update it won't do that.

It's pretty much perfect for home users and some small businesses, but there is just no substitute for MS Office at the moment if you use the VBA functionality - like macros in Excel.

I hope you aren't seriously equating AWK and sed (which I didn't know of) to the power and simplicity of VBA in MS Office?
